  1. Specifics

    On a weekly basis, learners will be required to:
     
    • Complete reading assignments from the textbook
    • Complete weekly self-assessments that cover the 6 Domains of the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) Body of Knowledge
    • Attend a 2 hour Online Live session (attendance is required at each live content session)

    Course participants will receive a non-printable eBook version of the text.  Hardcover textbooks are available to registrants at a 40% discount through the NIGP online bookstore. The course confirmation email will contain the discount code needed to apply toward the purchase of the hardcover text. The NIGP Dictionary text will also be available for at the time of registration and is another useful resource. 



    If you wish to take the face-to-face CPPO Prep course instead, please view the course catalog. The content and final exam is the same for both course types. Successful completion of the online course will earn 16 contact hours for the learner. NIGP will not issue partial contact hours.

  • Participation in NIGP’s Online Prep Course will help you prepare to sit for the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) examination for the Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO). This Online Prep Course focuses your study on the six areas of content (domains) within the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) Body of Knowledge upon which the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) examinations are built.

    The Prep is a review course cannot take the place of procurement courses and years of procurement experience. Taking this course will not guarantee a pass rate on the final exam. The Prep Course will help you understand your areas of content strengths and weaknesses, assist in guiding study activity, and provide self-directed study questions and information.
