    Presenter Bio

    Lourdes Coss, CPPO, MPA –Lourdes is a former Chief Procurement Officer with 25+ years of extensive multi faceted procurement and organizational development experience in state and local government, including Cook County (Chicago) and Harris County (Houston). She is a recipient of the 2015 NIGP Measure Up Award and has served on the NIGP Board of Directors. Lourdes has most recently completed consulting engagements with the Great Lakes Water Authority, State of Nevada and the City of Coral Gables as well as being a frequent conference
    speaker and trainer for NIGP.  
    Kevin Beardsley, CPPO – Kevin is the current Director of Procurement for the Virginia Beach Public Schools. He is both a CPPB and CPPO and his agency has held the NIGP OA4 certification for many years. He also serves on the UPPCC Board and is a reviewer for both the Pareto and OA4 agency certifications.  Kevin has most recently completed consulting engagements with the Philadelphia School District, Sound Transit Authority and The City of Raleigh.
    Denise Finn, CPPO, CPPB, C.P.M. –Denise is the Procurement Manager for the City of Fort Myers, FL.
    Her deep experience in Federal Uniform Guidance requirements makes her a thought leader for organizations looking to align policies and procedures with the federal requirements.  She has also completed consulting projects include the Virginia Association for State Colleges and Universities Purchasing Professionals, Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority and as an evaluator for NIGP's National Cooperative Accreditation (NCA) Award for US Communities.
    Marcheta Gillespie, CPPO, CPPB, C.P.M, CPM –Marcheta is the former Purchasing Director for the City of Tucson.
    She has served as a Master Instructor for NIGP, keynote speaker and presenter to thousands of professionals around North America on various public procurement and leadership topics.  She was the 2013-14 President of NIGP and has served on its Talent Council and Board of Directors. Her recent consulting projects include the State of Nevada, State of Oregon and Nashville Airport Authority.
    Dr. Stephen Gordon, Ph.D., CPPO, FNIGP – Steve’s career has spanned roles across public sector, private sector and academia, all focused on public procurement.  He has served as the Director of Procurement for Alexandria, VA and Purchasing Agent for Nashville, TN.  He had also served as Program Director for Graduate Certificate in Public Procurement and Contract Management at Old Dominion University.  He is the recipient of the Distinguished Service and the Albert H. Hall Memorial Awards from NIGP.

    Attendance for Individuals

    In order to receive one contact hour, each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login and your registration.

    Attendance for Groups

    There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.

  • All cancellations must be made in writing by emailing registrationinfo@nigp.org. Once the login email is sent, registrants that are non-members are not eligible for a refund. Registered participants who do not attend will not receive credit. Need to miss the webinar due to a last minute meeting? There is no need to cancel. You won't receive credit, but you will still receive all the handouts and the recording link.
