    NIGP and ASPA are again collaborating on another great procurement and greater public administration topic. Smart Cities and Public Procurement. A panel of speakers, led by Hal Good, will talk about what Smart Cities are and how public procurement professionals work within those cities. Panelists will talk through those who are working with the demand for “smart” solutions that are innovative and flexible but how communities are making long term decisions while working with current trends and demand.


     After completing this online training session, learners will be able to:
    1.  Better understanding of Smart Cities.
    2.  Learn about the role of public procurement in a Smart City. 
    3.  Using the road map to strategy around Smart Cities.

    Presenter Bio

    A Certified multi-disciplinary business leader with over 30 years experience in public and private procurement and public-private partnerships. Portfolio of successful complex projects for a major university hospital, airport, convention center, and city & county government agencies. Inducted into the CPO Rising Procurement Hall of Fame, Harvard Club, Boston MA - 2016, "IBM Futurist" since May, 2015. Recipient of NIGP's second highest national award, "Distinguished Service Award - 2002.

    In order to receive one contact hour, each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login and your registration.

    There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.
