    Attend this webinar to learn who the NIGP Member Council members are and what they do for NIGP members. Consider how you might want to volunteer and give back to the profession.  


     After completing this online training session, learners will be able to:
    1.  Know who the Member Council Members are
    2.  Understand what the Member Council does for NIGP and how it impacts members
    3.  Learn who the slate of Member Council candidates are and why, as NIGP members, their vote is so important


    Presenter Bio

    Tara Acton has been a procurement professional for over a decade now!  Her career started with Mohave County as an entry level Procurement Officer, and she is now a Principal Contract Officer for the City of Tucson leading a team of professionals in a satellite procurement office.
    Tara has been involved with NIGP since 2009 as both an Institute and Chapter member.  She’s served on Chapter boards as both President and Past President, chaired and participated in many chapter committees. Her contributions at the Institute level include Credentialing Design Team, Practice Analysis Panel, Member Council, Young Professionals Council, the Knowledge Management Committee, Young Professional Scholarship Awardee in 2015. In 2019, Tara is the most recent recipient of the Copper Chapter Buyer of the Year designation and the NIGP Young Professional Award of 2019.


    Attendance for Individuals

    In order to receive one contact hour, each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login and your registration.

    Attendance for Groups

    There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.

Registered participants who do not attend will not receive credit. Need to miss the webinar due to a last minute meeting? There is no need to cancel. You won't receive credit, but you will still receive all the handouts and the recording link.
