    Overview

    Many procurement offices have thought about going paperless by using on-line bidding, but for various reasons, including cost, most never seem to do it. This presentation shows you a low cost simple and paperless solution developed by the Tacoma School District Purchasing Department. With the tips in this presentation, anyone can develop their own e-procurement solution.
     

    Objectives

     After completing this online training session, learners will be able to:
     
    1.  Simplify RFP proposal evaluations for evaluators
     
    2.  Eliminate paper from the RFP evaluation and scoring process
     

    Presenter Bios

    Steve Demel is the Director of Purchasing for the Tacoma School District. Prior to his 12 years with the district he spent 6 years as a purchasing manager with the Washington Office of State Procurement. For twelve years he held a variety of contracting positions in the U.S. Air Force. Steve was also an Air Force helicopter search and rescue pilot. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and has a Master’s degree in Procurement Management and Finance from WebsterUniversity.Steve was selected as the State of Washington Chapter of NIGP Purchasing Manager of the Year for 2011 in January 2012. Steve served as Chair of the NIGP Legislative and Position Committee in2014-15 and has written a number of professional procurement articles. His passion is finding ways to make government work better.

    In order to receive one contact hour, each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login and your registration.

    Attendance for Groups

    There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.
