    Overview

How can sustainable purchasing benefit your organization? This presentation will introduce attendees to the “triple bottom line” and how to use  sustainability as a tool that helps procurement professionals achieve environmental goals. Making the best economic decisions will support and help the community they serve. In a marketplace where “greenwashing” and false claims can dominate, this presentation will explain  how to identify transparency and accuracy in a sustainable product. Using specific examples within public procurement, attendees will learn how to identify sustainable products and be prepared to utilize sustainable purchasing as an opportunity, rather than an obligation. Don’t miss this webinar to learn how sustainable purchasing can help you to achieve your procurement goals! This online training session is targeted toward the beginning/intermediate level of procurement.

    Objectives

After completing this online training session, learners will be able to:
    1. Explain the triple bottom line, and how sustainable products can contribute to your goals for the environment, your community, and your economic growth.
    2. Identify sustainable products of all different types, and recognize how different product attributes will help you meet your sustainable purchasing goals.
